Our principal, Gillian Reed, is a sole practitioner, who, in addition to her accountancy and business advisory qualifications and expertise has a wealth of business and corporate experience across a wide cross-section of industry sectors. This experience allows Gillian to provide her clients with practical, cost effective solutions for all of their business needs.
As a sole practitioner Gillian realises that there may be instances where she may not be available, on the spot, to answer a client’s question. With that in mind and to ensure that there is always expertise available to her clients Gillian Reed & Associates is a member of an alliance of likeminded professionals called Group Accounting and Business Solutions which ensures that there is always a professional readily available to a client to provide expertise and an answer.
As a result of this alliance our clients receive the personal service and involvement offered by a smaller practice with the back-up usually only provided by a larger practice – surely the best of both worlds.

Meet Gillian Reed
Gillian is a business all-rounder and has worked in accounting for over thirty years. Her work experience covers many sectors of industry from importing and manuafacturing through to the not-for-profit sector. This diversity of career experience has enabled her to have a wide appreciation of the needs and requirements of individual industry sectors.
Advice from Gillian comes with the backing and knowledge of someone who has been there and done that and not from someone who has solely been in an accountant’s office all their working career.
Gillian is a registered Taxation Agent, an active member of local business and community groups as well as a company director on a community board.
What gives Gillian her greatest satisfaction is “Ensuring that my clients are in the best position to optimise their business and taxation opportunities while being able to rest assured that everything is taken care of from a legal and taxation point of view.”
Away from her practice Gillian is devoted to her family, is a keen renovator and a fledgling cheese maker.
